

Robert Dennis Chasan was born in Princeton, New Jersey in 1941 to Joseph and Helen Chasan. Robert left his mortal body on October 30, 2020 in Tucson, AZ. Robert is survived by his wife of 57 years, Virginia Evelyn Chasan (Marley) and his three children Robert Dennis Chasan II (Philip Perkins), Scott Edward Chasan (Jeanette Chasan) and Julie Marie Donald (Lance Donald). Robert was proceed by his daughter, Robin Denise Chasan on July 13, 1967. Robert is also survived by his beloved sister Patricia Joy Francis (Chasan) and his brother-in-law Daniel Francis and sister-in-law Barbara Chasan (Joseph's wife). Robert was proceeded in death by his brother Joseph Chasan last month and his sister Ta Holmes many years ago. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Abrehana Pierce (Chris Pierce), Zachary Donald (Nathalie Donald), Montana Donald, Cole Chasan, Tyler Chasan and his great grandchildren, Damian Michael Martinez Chasan and Evan Alexander Donald.
Robert served his country in the Coast Guard from 1960 - 1964. Robert worked as a construction worker and at the Asarco Mine for many years as a Heavy Equipment Operator. Robert also worked along his nephew Dow Chasan as a security officer. In retirement Robert never rested and sold cars and could often be found at the Swap Meet with his brother-in-law Gary Vieno who proceeded him in death. Robert was also active in serving children in the community by playing the role of Santa Claus for over 20 years. He could often be found with his wife Ms. Claus. Robert went by many names including, Big Bob, Chappo, Santa Claus, Opa and Bobby. Robert enjoyed many adventures in life with his wife including scuba diving, traveling all over Europe and spending time with his family. Robert was always making a joke and laughing. His dinner table and home were always open to family and friends. Robert was always close to his extended family. He loved being Uncle Bob to so many.
