Rose Marie McKinley

Rose Marie McKinley [nee Lowery), of Marana, Arizona passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at the age of 81. She was born on November 8, 1944 in Artesia, New Mexico. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rose and D.A. Lowery and sister Gloria Hanson.

Rose Marie grew up on the family farm near Dexter, New Mexico raising chickens, turkeys, roosters, pigs, lambs and steer. Not only did she love the animals, she won many 4-H and State Fair competitions showcasing her livestock. Rose Marie graduated from Dexter High School as Valedictorian in 1962. She spent many years in parts of New Mexico and in Vancouver, Washington before moving to Tucson in 1985.

Rose Marie worked in the insurance and cable tv industries in Albuquerque, NM, Vancouver, WA and Tucson, AZ. She was actively involved in the churches she attended over the years and was an avid long-distance runner well into her late 40s. She loved to watch college and pro football, tend her garden, swim in her pool and spend time with her 9 grandchildren who live in the Tucson area and the Chicago suburbs.

Rose Marie will be lovingly remembered by her husband Dave Mckinley, her son John (Christi) Cashman of Clarendon Illinois, her daughter Peggye Springetti of Oro Valley, Arizona, her son Todd (Eun Young) Schleicher of Tucson, her 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandkids and sister Roberta (Jerry) Holmaas of Tucson along with 3 nieces, a nephew and 2 step-daughters.

Interment at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, 5801 E. Grant Rd, Tucson, Arizona.
