the age of 73, surrounded by her loving family. Rosie was a devoted catholic who taught
catechism for 7 years at Santa Monica Parish. Rosie was a direct reflection of the bond her
family holds. She had a deep devotion to God and instilled that in her family. Rosie always made
time for everyone and always provided support and love for her family. She loved sports,
especially her UofA wildcats, her novelas, and her crushed ice. Rosie is a radiant light that will
never dim and she will forever be in our hearts.
She was survived by her husband Daniel Ortiz who were married for 53 years, her children Carol
(Mike+), Geraldine and Frank, Evelyn and Jose, Melissa and Anthony, and Mel and Jahssel. 10
grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
