Ruben was born August 4, 1948 in Tucson, AZ. He graduated from Pueblo High School. He met and married Linda Soto on February 3. 1968.
Ruben had a career as a utility service worker for the City of Tucson water department and was the leader for 4-H Club Swine Project.
He had a passion for hunting, horses, dancing, and bowling.
Ruben is preceded in death by his sisters Angie Moreno, Jessie Lopez, Christina Lopez; his brothers Edward (Terry) Lopez, and Raul Lopez; nephews Willy MacDonald, Johnny Mojaro, and Raul Lopez Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife Linda Lopez, son Ruben Lopez Jr., Liliana R. Lopez (granddaughter), sister Carmen Lopez, and many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
A memorial service for Ruben will be held Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Funeraria del Angel South Lawn, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706.
A rosary will occur Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706.
A reception will occur Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706.
