Russell John Roscover, age 83, of Tucson, AZ passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 8, 2020, with his wife by his side. Russell was born on March 23, 1937 in Pueblo, Colorado to David and Florence Roscover. He was the second youngest of eight children. After graduating from Central High School in Pueblo, Russell joined the US Navy. After two years, Russell switched to the US Air Force. While he was stationed in Maine, Russell met Marita, and they were married on November 23, 1960. After retiring from the Air Force, Russell and Marita returned to Colorado, where Russell went on to have another career with the US Postal Service. Russell was thought of highly by many of his customers along his mail route. Russell and Marita were avid square dancers for many years, traveling around the country attending different dances and making friends. In 2018, after spending many winters in Mesa, Russell and Marita decided to move permanently to Southern Arizona.
Russell is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Marita Roscover, of Tucson; daughters Brenda (Kyle) Watson, of Altus, OK; Diane (Bob) Cooper of Branson, MO; and Misty (Scott) Morse of Vail, AZ; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by son, Timothy Roscover; grandson Joel Watson; two brothers and a sister.
Memorial services will be held in Colorado at a later date.
