After a long hard battle with Huntington's Disease, Sandy went home to be with her Savior and Lord, and so many other loved ones, including her parents, Bill and Sue Braun, her grandparents and her aunts and uncles on June 5th, 2020.
She was born on June 20th, 1968 in Livonia, Michigan, but moved to Tucson, AZ as a two-year-old, and lived in Tucson the rest of her life. Sandy is survived by her brother Stephen Braun(Liz), her sister Karen Tvrdy (Lonnie), her three nephews Caleb Tvrdy, Joshua Tvrdy, Aaron Tvrdy and her niece Nicole Phillips (Braun).
Sandy was an incredibly strong woman, and in everything she did, she gave her all and then some! She was gifted musically and used her musical and vocal talent to lead worship and bring honor to her Lord by writing, singing and producing amazing worship songs. She was very athletic and followed in the footsteps of her siblings running track, playing soccer and she excelled in both. She was also an excellent writer and earned her Bachelors’ Degree in Creative Writing at the University of Arizona.
Sandy was fun, intense, compassionate, and a fighter to the very end. She will be sorely missed by her family and all those who knew her.
The past few years in her mental distress because of HD, she would often say, "There has to be a better place!" Sandy has now found that better place.
Memorial service for Sandy is yet to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Huntington's Disease Society of America
