

In the song of life, Sean Robert May was surely the composer. A very observant man who would rather spend his time creating than talking, Sean preferred to live in a world of harmony where everything around him made sense. In fact, he depended on his sensory world to provide him with concrete data. A free spirit, Sean believed that actions definitely spoke for themselves. He seemed to know what fit and what didn’t fit in everything he did. Sean perceived that all of life’s possibilities were open to him, yet he lived with a definite sense of purpose. He was a man who was always ready to share his creations with those around him.
Sean was born on June 5, 1989 at Davis Monthan Hospital in Tucson, Arizona. His parents were John and Linda May. Sean was raised in Corona, Arizona. As a young child, Sean was optimistic in his outlook. He sought out the possibilities in a given situation and looked for ways to apply his creative energies. Sean rarely calling attention to himself, but when he did speak out, his message was clearly understood by those around him.
Early on in his family relationships, Sean showed that he was a tolerant and flexible person, and he got along fairly well with everyone. He was raised with one sibling. He had one younger brother, Shane. He was a calm and playful child who was adaptable to any situation.
As he was growing up, Sean developed into a person who enjoyed physically doing things, and he took pleasure in using his hands in order to create. Whether it was drawing pictures, working with building kits, or even just tapping out a rhythm to play by, Sean liked concrete things. Growing up, Sean took part in flag and tackle football. In his spare time he liked video gaming. However, to Sean, the most fun he had was simply playing, and spending time with friends.
Early on in his school years, Sean showed an interest in learning, especially when it came to subjects in the arts. At times, school learning did not provide Sean with sufficient challenges, but being an avid reader, he could often be “lost in a book” well above his grade level. His passion for fine arts was so keen that fellow students and even his teachers recognized it. He graduated from Pantano High School in 2008. He enjoyed some courses more than others, having favorite classes and teachers. His favorite class in high school was math. The teacher he enjoyed learning from the most was Mr. Brent Edwards. Participated in the math competition, Math Counts, at the University of Arizona. Sean receved the Superintendent's certificate.
Those who didn’t know Sean well might not view him as being an outgoing person, those who called him their friend knew differently. Sean was shy and sensitive, a person who never forced his opinions and values on others. Close friends knew that his kindness was unmatched, and once you became a friend of Sean’s, you understood how true a friend he could be. While growing up, some of his best friends were Steven and Krystle Wright. Later in life, he kept his friendship with Steven Wrigth. They were best friends for 18 years.
Sean found ways to enjoy what he did for a living. He worked hard and did his best to succeed every day. His primary occupation was a short order cook. He was employed as a cashier for Safeway as a tean and then moved on to Home Healthcare of all ages before moving on to Pocket's Billards as a short order cook. Sean tended to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done without imposing his will on others.
Sean enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. His favorite pursuits were several online video games and the movie, Rocky Horror Picture Show. Sean's team also known as a guild on World of Warcraft is in the top 5 in the world! Sean was content to enjoy his hobbies alone but was also willing to share his interests with others. He was relaxed in his approach to his leisure time because he wanted to savor the present moment.
Sean liked sports. Sean was also something of a sports fan and enjoyed following his favorite events whenever he got the opportunity. Tops on his list were University of Arizona's college sports.
Throughout his life, Sean was a doer and was always actively involved in professional and community organizations. In high school, Sean was a math tutor for struggling students in high school. Throughout his later years, Sean was an active member of the Rocky Horror Picture Show Shadow Casting as a co-producer. He had a tendency to bring peace to his relationships by avoiding disagreements.
Because he loved the world around him, Sean enjoyed traveling and going away on vacations. It was an opportunity for him to kick back and relax, to visit new places and experience new things. Sean put his personal trademark on any leisure planning that he undertook. Favorite vacations included Rocky Point, San Diego, Snow Lake, New Mexico, and Hawaii.
Sean was a lover of animals and cherished his pets. One of Sean’s favorites was P-Dawg, who was his 1st and Abby was his baby. They were best friends; P-Dawg for 18 years and Abby, his puppy for 4 months.
Sean passed away on June 18, 2017 at at home in Tucson, Arizona. Natural causes. He is survived by his dad, mom, brother, grandmothers, uncle, aunts, nice, nephews, and cousins. Services were held at South Lawn Mortuary. Sean's cremated remains will be spread by his family.
Sean was a good man, a kind man, and a practical man who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being warm and deeply caring. He leaves behind him a treasury of life-long friendships and wonderful memories. Sean always had much to give and was able to make those connections in his life where his gifts were appreciated. Sean was a faithful, practical and loving person. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Sean Robert May.
