August 6, 1948 – February 13, 2026
Sheila Ann Hobbs, born August 6, 1948, in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, to
Mavis Pauline Sargent and Kerman Hess, passed away on February 13,
2026, after a short illness.
Sheila met Gary Hobbs in Marietta, Georgia, and together they welcomed
two children, Jon and Amanda. Family remained at the heart of her life.
Over the years, Sheila worked in service centers, where her friendly
nature and ability to connect with others were evident to all who met her.
She later earned her Travel Agent Certificate, combining her love of
people with her interest in travel and new places. She spent many years
in Denver, Colorado, before eventually settling in Tucson, Arizona.
In her final years, health challenges created many obstacles, yet Sheila
remained remarkably positive. She was genuinely interested in what
others were doing, always ready to listen to their stories and share a
conversation. Her curiosity about people and her enduring spirit defined
her far more than her illnesses.
She will be deeply missed by Gary, her former husband and longtime
friend, her children Jon and Amanda, her six grandchildren, and all who
knew her.
A Celebration of Life is planned for later this spring, when family and
friends will gather to remember and honor her life.
