Shirley was born and raised in Middletown, Ohio, and this is where she met and proudly married Seldon Smith, who was a carpenter. She had two sons and raised them with unconditional love; Edin Randolph Smith, an Executive Chef at a fine dining restaurant and Scott Seldon Smith, an ICU RN. Shirley touched many people with her charming personality; above all else, her children and family were her greatest joy and inspiration, and she will be remembered as the ultimate Mom. She worked over 30 years at the Doubletree on Alvernon and was easily their most popular employee while she was there; she left a lasting impression with everyone she met and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
A visitation for Shirley will be held Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712, with a graveside service to follow.
