Sophia Alessandra Urquilla

Sophia Alessandra Urquilla was born on December 6, 2010, to parents Sindy and Manuel. She was a loving child, a wonderful sister to Angel, and a great friend to many. She was an 8th grader at Mansfield Magnet Middle School full of ambition, dreams and goals. She was an optimist, curious and adventurous, a bright student, an athlete, and a gamer. She self-taught herself how to play the guitar and had a kick-back vibe. She was sassy, had sarcastic humor, and great comebacks. She loved Spider-Man, Hello Kitty, and a fan of Anime. She loved all her cats - Moco, Chunky, Bambino, and Dexter. She had a big heart and loved everyone in her life unconditionally. Those that had an opportunity to meet Sophia know that she was a beautiful wonderful, lovely young girl who’s departed too soon.

Sophia Alessandra Urquilla passed away at the age of 14 on January 30, 2025. Although she has departed from earth, we find comfort in knowing she has reunited in paradise with her Grandma Rosa Moreno and cousin Alexander Salazar Acevedo.

Una estudiante de octavo grado en Mansfield Magnet Middle School llena de ambiciones, sueños y metas. Era optimista, curiosa y aventurera. Una estudiante brillante, una atleta, y una gamer. Ella aprendió por sí misma a tocar la guitarra y tenía una vibra relajada. Era atrevida, tenía un humor sarcástico y rápida con sus reacciones sarcásticas. Le encantaba Spider-Man, Hello Kitty y era fanática del anime. Amaba a todos sus gatos: Moco, Chunky, Bambino y Dexter. Tenía un gran corazón y amaba incondicionalmente a todos en su vida. Aquellos que tuvieron la oportunidad de conocer a Sophia saben que ella era una joven hermosa, maravillosa y encantadora que se fue demasiado pronto.

Sophia Alessandra Urquilla falleció a la edad de 14 años el 30 de enero de 2025. Aunque ha partido de la tierra, nos consuela saber que se ha reunido en el paraíso con su abuela Rosa Moreno y su primo Alexander Salazar Acevedo.

A visitation for Sophia will be held Friday, February 14, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Catalina, 3435 N First Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85719. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Evergreen Mortuary, Cemetery and Crematory, 3015 N Oracle Rd, Tucson, AZ 85705.
