

Travis Lee Cooper, 75, died peacefully, Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Kindred Hospital in Tucson, surrounded by family. Travis Cooper was born in Crockett, Texas on September 17, 1940. He was the loving father and grandfather who showered his loved ones with wisdom and knowledge. He was preceded in death by his Father, Raymond Cooper, his Mother Ollie B. Price, Step-Mother Patricia Cooper, his Sister Everlean Cooper and five brothers, Edward James Cooper, Bobby Ray Cooper, Curtis Cooper, Barry Cooper and step-brother James Guyton all from Galveston Texas area, his step-son Leroy Smith, his grandson Raymond Travis Grant Cooper and two granddaughters, Tamieka Smith and Malaysia Howell. Travis leaves to mourn his Brother, Donald Ray Cooper (Rosy), Pearland, Texas and Sister Marilyn Cooper-Helm (Larry) of Houston, Texas, Travis had twelve children, Son Raymond Cooper, Step-sons, John O'Neal Smith, Clark Manly Smith, Isaac Roman Cooper, all from Tucson, Arizona, three daughters, Illiana Jo Cooper, Las Vegas, Nevada Valarie jean Cooper, Phoenix, Arizona and Tina Kaye Green (David) Tucson, Arizona. Travis had five step-daughters, Monica Monge, Veronica Monge, Maribel Monge, Irma Leon, and Claudia Leon, all from Tucson, Arizona. Travis had a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Travis Cooper served six years in the Navy during the Vietnam War aboard the USS Arlington, from 1964 to 1970. He was a boiler room technician. After leaving the Navy Travis Cooper settled in Tucson, Arizona and worked at the Magma/BHP Copper Mines for over 25 years, until his disability. Travis loved fishing, listening to country music and playing cards and dominos with the girls and friends.
Travis will be missed by all of his family and friends.
