Vera was born on July 16, 1923, on her family's farm near Westfield,
Marquette County, Wisconsin.
She was the 4th of five siblings who grew up on the farm during the
Depression and came into adulthood during the second world war. Vera
began her career as a telephone operator in Elgin, Illinois, where she met
her future husband, James Edward Lambert. They were married on March
16th, 1946.
After the birth of their son Keith in 1949, they decided to move west to
escape the harsh Wisconsin winters, and settled in Tucson, Arizona in the
early 1950s, where their son Dennis was born in 1953.
Jim sold appliances at Sears for many years, and Vera became a
Tupperware dealer in the early 1960s. Her illustrious Tupperware career
lasted more than 50 years. She broke many sales records and was one of
the top dealers in the country. When her flourishing career finally slowed
down, she traveled the world with her husband Jim, family members and
her sister Nina.
She brought inspiration, cheer and generosity to countless fortunate
friends and relatives. Vera is survived by a large and prosperous family
including her sons Keith (and Sarah) and Dennis (and Theresa), four
grandchildren and their spouses, and twelve great-grandchildren.
