

Bill, age 94, died Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at his residence with his loving wife nearby. He died peacefully in his sleep. Bill was the son of Lawrence and Louise May and was born in Detroit, MI on 04/17/1927. He served honorably and nobly during WW2 in the U.S.Army as a Technical Fifth Grade Medic. He was awarded 2 medals, the "WW2 Victory medal" and the "American Theater Medal".
Often asked why he chose to serve, his answer was always the same, " It was the right thing to do."
Bill returned to Michigan after being honorably discharged and he began working at Chrysler where worked until he retired. He met his first wife, Kay (Fiore) May, and they married in 1951 and she passed away early 2004.
Bill remained religious his entire life as his parents were. He was a master clock repairer, loved to travel and had a love of all autos.
He was also very gracious with volunteering his time after he retired. He tried his hand at real estate and telephone repair. Kay and he then decided to leave the midwest and moved to Tucson in the early 90's.
Bill is survived by his loving wife Emma Olsen-May of 14 years. He has three step children he adored, Irma Schuchardt, David Berroteran, and Alicia Sale. He has grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, A loving family that will greatly miss him.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents and three siblings.

A Celebration of Life will be held on February 26, 2022, at 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712
