William E. Pippenger

PIPPENGER, William Eugene, In Loving Memory of William Eugene, 66, died on October 14, 2012 from a massive heart attack. Bill was born on January 28, 1946 in Ottawa, Kansas to Clarence and Frances Pippenger. Raised in Pomona and Ottawa, he attended college at Kansas State University where he studied accounting and met his wife, Linda. He earned his degree and worked for many years as an accountant at Dow Chemical in Midland, MI, Miami, FL and Indianapolis, IN. After an early retirement, he and Linda moved to Tucson, AZ in 1997 where he began to explore the country on his Harley while Linda held down the fort and central base of operations in Tucson. While Linda passed in 2010, Bill is survived by his children, Mike and Catherine, their spouses and three beautiful grandchildren. Bill had a great passion for travel (whether it be by truck, Harley or RV), his family and his dogs. He is remembered for being a dedicated friend, father and husband. A Visitation will be held at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY in Tucson on Friday, October 19, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. followed by Services on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers please feel free to make donations to Arizona Assistance in Health Care, an organization much beloved by his wife, Linda or the 777 Ranch in Ferron, Utah, a working ranch and Christian camp that became very important to Bill. www.eastlawnpalmsmortuary.com
