Alfred E. Borkowski July 3, 1916-December 8, 2009Alfred was born in Chicago, Illinois and lived the last 17 years in the Olympia area. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Cecelia "Sally" Borkowski; his devoted son, Wayne Borkowski; daughter, Lydia (Tomm) Lorenzin; three granddaughters: Lisa (Mike Broome) Lorenzin, Alexis Lorenzin and Sarah (Bryan) Hartley. Alfred is also survived by an extended family including his sister Loraine (Joseph) Ejnik and godson Richard (Sue) Kubian.Alfred served his country as a sergeant in the Army during World War II.A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2009 at Mills & Mills Funeral Home 5725 Littlerock Road SW Tumwater, Washington.
