

Alma Cecelia Olson was born on April 12,1922 in Alamo, North Dakota. She passed away on January 10, 2018 at her home in Olympia, Washington. Alma along with her siblings Marian, Archie, Raymond, and Vernon were the children of John and Frances Nelson.
In her youth, Alma was active in church functions. She was also class vice president, a member of the glee club, yearbook staff, choir, and the basketball team. In 1938, she began a courtship with Elvin G. Olson and they married on September 8, 1942 in Washington.
While Elvin served in the military, Alma worked in clinics, offices and also at Boeing. In 1945, Elvin returned to Seattle from the war and they had two children, Ron (1947) and Val (1949). Alma also worked for the Pinard family for 17 years. Elvin and Alma were active in the Highland Park community.
They enjoyed dancing, playing cards, fishing camping and golfing. They lived in Seattle until 1978 when they moved to Scott Lake where Alma continued to be involved in the community. She was a member of the garden club, women's golf club, and HERS club.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Elvin G. Olson, her son, Ronald G. Olson, and granddaughter, Jessica O. Delgado. She is survived by her daughter, Valerie Delgado, son in law, Horacio Delgado; grandchildren, Valerie Olson Stordahl, Denise Olson Cameron, and Cameron Olson; great grandchildren Nicholas and Ashley Cameron, Taylor, Emma and Aaron Stordahl, and Jackson Olson.
Memorial will be held Saturday, February 10th at 1 pm at Mills and Mills Funeral Home, Tumwater, Washington.
