Claudia, originally from California, moved to Alaska in 1973 with her husband and four children. She immediately fell in love with Homer as she drove down Baycrest Hill for the first time. Even after leaving Alaska in the early 1980's, she could not let go of the love she had for the last frontier.
Claudia was a devout member of the Baha'i Faith and wanted nothing but unity and love for all mankind. She was adored and cherished by everyone who knew her. Especially her family. While she will be dearly missed, her family and friends will always remember the beauty and love she added to our lives.
Claudia McDermott-Schultz passed away on August 13th 2021 in Olympia Washington. She is survived by her four children, four step children, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren as well as her husband Clarence.
She was a good soul and will always have a place in our hearts.
“I learned what I could and did what I could which I feel
was not enough. Be happy for me, it will help me progress.
Say prayers for me as I will for you. I love you all.”
