

Coleman "Jim" Norris Hollmann Born Oct 25, 1924, Cordova, AL, died March 7, 2012, Olympia, WA. Our Lord has taken another one of his children home. Jim lived an interesting life. He was an excellent swimmer and is a HERO, saving 5 people from drowning. He helped rescue 2 children, ages 5 and 6, during the South Wenatchee Railcar Explosion. He was an avid sports fan and played professional baseball with the Colorado Springs Skysocks, basketball and billiards. Jim won a 1983 championship ring, numerous trophies along with his 1990 4ft "Top Gun" Championship trophy, and 11 medals (7 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze all star) in the Olympia Senior Games playing billiards (2003-2011). He also played pool with Willie Mosconie. Jim enjoyed panning for gold in his days. He was a graceful dancer and skater. The girls all called him "cozy." He loved to play his guitar with his friends, singing country western and bluegrass music. Jim served in the US Army Corps 1 year, 3 months, 18 days, 5 hours and 11 minutes during WWII, and joined the Civilian Conservation Corps, created by President FDR. In 1946, he married Jewell Shelton and had a daughter (Janice) and a son (Jimmy) in Colorado Springs, CO. He divorced and moved to Calico Rock, AR, in 1957 where he married Muna Owens (separated) after the births of daughters Ramona and Debra, and sons Steve, Jimmy, David, Clayton and Dale. Jim lived in Wenatchee until he moved to the Olympia area in 1998. Jim worked many jobs, retiring as a truck driver after 17 years. He attended Wenatchee Valley College, receiving certification in music and Geology; thus, he became a "Rock Star." When Jim got ill in 2005, he was known as "cardiology marvel," and later became "The Stoneman" in 2012. He was preceded in death by his brother Joseph, his mother Gertrude and his father Stuart. He is survived by his children, many grand children and great grand children. His family and dearest friends would like to thank all who have provided care to him from the bottom of their hearts!
