In loving memory of Marlene Madden who passed away on November 11th. This wonderful lady had battled multiple illnesses over the years. Described as "One Tough Lady" by her doctors and family. Recently hospitalized, she returned home for hospice care. Only a week later, she passed quietly in the morning with her husband, Richard, beside her. She will be much missed.
Marlene was born on November 13, 1934 in Woodward, Iowa. She attended high school in Orofino, Idaho and graduated in 1951. Later she attended The Evergreen College in Washington State. Marlene was widowed, then married, Richard Madden, in 1997. She worked in bookkeeping/accounting and office management with the U.S. Army and Washington State; Marlene retired from the Department of Social and Health Services.
In retirement, Marlene loved to travel. She felt traveling opens your heart, broadens your mind, and fills your life with stories to tell. One of her many stories included winning at the Casino.
Marlene is survived by her husband, 7 children, 11 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
