Ferdinand B. Isla was born on September 11, 1972 in Baguio City, Philippines. Ferdie finished a degree in Business Administration at Jefferson Community College, Watertown, New York. He retired from the US Army in 2012 as Sergeant First Class with 20 years and 5 months of active duty military service, where he earned numerous honors and awards. Shortly after military retirement, he worked as an Equipment Specialist with the US Army. Ferdie loved to travel with his family, socialize, and sing karaoke with family, friends, and peers on his spare time.
On Thursday, September 26, 2019, Ferdinand Isla, husband, father, son and brother, passed away at his home in Lacey, Washington after being diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s Disease in 2018. He was predeceased by his father Primo C. Isla. Ferdie will be forever remembered by his wife Daisy, and their two precious sons, Kyle and Matt, his mother Zenaida, and by his brothers and sisters Gloria (Eduardo), Efren (Janet), Al (Irene), and Eva (Roberto). Ferdie will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends who have nothing to say but good words for him.
