Gary was a fantastic teacher, but a better person. Gary's "Diversified Occupations" class was the highlight of my Senior year (1982) at NTHS. Gone, but not forgotten...

As we sat around at Swim Meets or FFA or stuff we always solved the worlds problems.  A good man with deep passion for everything.  Our sincere sympathy on this sad occasion.

Jody and family, I'm so sorry for your loss.  Please know that you and your family are in our in our prayers.  Fred and I won't be able to make it to the Memorial Service for Gary.  I'm in Jury Duty rand we are deliberating the outcome.

I meet Gary at the Farm Bureau. Gary had so much intergrity and wisdom. It was so wonderful to watch him around children, he had an understanding love for them. He had a great nack for farming and helping people. He was always raising money to help others. He is a great loss to our community.

Uncle Gary I can't believe you are gone. You will be missed so much, but never forgotten.  I loved our little chats at family get togethers.  You could always put a smile on my face.  I know you are in a better place now, but I wish I could have said goodbye.  I'm glad Parker got to meet you and I will make sure he knows who you are as he grows up.  Love you always and forever.

I will so miss your wild laugh Gary.  You were a dear friend who, no matter how far between our hellos, was always positive and caring for others.  My prayers to you, Jodi and family.

Gary, one of the best men I have ever known.  Always with a smile unless he was mad, then just cold steel, then a short lesson on this or that, then a big bear hug and and a pat on the back followed by great encouragement to be better than that....  We are all better people for knowing you and the kindness that you always showed.  We all feel the loss, family, friends, thurston county agriculture has lost one of its biggest advocates.  Hope you and dad are sharing a few cold ones up there.  Love you, Toby

As I sit in heaven and watch you everyday I try to let you know with signs I never went away I hear you when you're laughing and watch you as you sleep I even place my arms around you to calm you as you weep I see you wish the days away begging to have me home so I try to send you signs so you know you are not alone don't feel guilty that you have life that was denied to me Heaven is truly beautiful just you wait and see so live your life laugh again enjoy yourself be free so then I know with every breath you take you'll be taking one for me...

Jodi, my heart is breaking for you and my prayers are surrounding you.  I still remember the first time I saw Gary.  He was watching Troy and Erin playing on the Horizon's playground and he wasn't wearing a "visitor" badge.  I tried to be gracious in asking him who he was and what he was doing there, and he was equally gracious in telling me that he was your husband and "their" father.  A quiet, gentle man and I know he will be missed terribly.

You had an impact on so many people's lives, and raised some really amazing and successful children.  The news of your passing is heart breaking, and you will be missed by so many people. Sorry for your loss Troy and Erin.
