Kathleen Joyce Evans

Kathleen Joyce Evans was born August 3, 1946 in Olympia, WA to Edwin Brownell and Catherine McLaughlin. One of the older children with 12 siblings and a larger McLaughlin family in the area, she has been surrounded by family all her life. She married Everett Evans February 12, 1972 and celebrated 52 years of marriage. Kathy was an entrepreneur, operating many small home businesses before following her love of flowers by establishing a plant nursery for several years. She loved to travel around the United States, especially if it meant visiting family or traveling to Hawaii. She is survived by her husband, Everett Evans; sons, Doug, Brian and Nathan; daughters-in-law Najla, Valerie and Eva; and grandchildren, Mira, Nicholas and Ben.

There will be a viewing Tuesday, August 13,2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Mills & Mills Funeral Home, 5725 Littlerock Road SW, Tumwater, WA 98512. The following day, Wednesday, August 14, 2024 Funeral Mass service will take place at St. Michael’s Church, 1208 11th Ave SE, Olympia beginning at 11:45 AM. Interment will immediately follow the service at Odd Fellows Cemetery, 3802 Cleveland Ave SE, Tumwater, WA 98501 at 1:30 PM. A light lunch and dessert reception will take place at St. Michael’s Church following interment. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Mills & Mills Funeral Home.
