I am saddened to read of Norene's passing. Cashiered at Mega Foods for many years and she was one of my favorite customers. She will be missed!

Noren was a  mentor and friend.  She kept me out of trouble while growing up on the west side.

I met Norene when we were Master Gardener volunteers in Olympia, Washington and became very good friends.  I remember the day she came to my house to help finish the cement stepping stones we were making for her yard.  She wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty in cement and paint. I will miss her a lot. I was shocked when my wife told me of Norene's passing.  We hadn't seen each other for some time.  The intentions were always there, but we just didn't get together often enough other than the occasional phone call.  I'll never forget the sled ride we had together.  I still have the scar.

I was so sorry to read of Norene's passing.  I knew her through Seahawks game bus, and visiting at Mega Foods.  She always had that gorgeous smile which always made me feel so good.  Soar with the 'Hawks, Norene.

We loved Norene. She was just like an aunt to me my entire life. She was kind and loving and always had a smile and positive word for all of us. My kids grew up knowing Norene as their other great-aunt next to our Sissie. Even in her last months of life she never gave up the fight to kick the cancer. When she left the care center to go back home on one occasion a few months back, she gave candy and cards to all of the people who helped her there. That was the kind of person Norene was...always thinking of everyone else. I will plant a flower in her honor. She loved gardening and was so good at it. Her yard was always beautiful. We will miss her so much but I believe she is looking down on all of us from heaven and she is trying to share her strength with us. We love you Norene.

I'm so sorry to hear about Norene.  She worked with my step-dad, Dale Montgomery, at the Tilley Road "pit".  My parents loved her dearly.

I remember Norene from our days at Garfield school and Olympia High.  She grew up on Rogers street, which was on my paper route.  She was a good friend and I'm sorry to see her go. Sleep easy, Norene.

We have known Norene for over 40 years - as a close friend and room mate of our Sissie, she became as good as a part of the family.  Always positive, smiling, & kind - that is how we remember her.  Her quiet way, but fierce spirit in the face of her illness is inspirational.  We will miss her.

I remember working with Norene at the Olympia Parks & Recreation Department some 45+ years ago. Norene always had a smile on her face, and would do anything for you. I will always remember how kind she was to me. She will be missed. Terry Meyer

I will always have fond memories of Norene. She was a wonderful and kind person. Her family is very special to me, My thoughts go out to them.

Dale & I met through a tennis match set up for us by Norene 25 years ago, while we were working for Thurston County...we've been married for 24 years now, thanks to her.  We looked forward to her Christmas letters every year, telling of all of her adventures, and her calls thanking us for our cards.  She was a joy to be around, and will be missed tremendously.  She will always have a special place in our hearts for everything she has given us.  I wish we were going to be in town for the service, but know that our thoughts are with you all and our memories of her will live on forever.  We will truly miss her.

We will miss her smile and presence.  My cousin is always part of me and everyone she touched.
