He was very protective of anyone he considered to be family or friend. Teasing or joking with people was very much part of him.
Safety was a priority in everything. At work the goal was for everyone to go home to their families at the end of the day.
He was a very hands on Supervisor. He didn't ask anyone to do things he wouldn't. He helped get things done, he didn't consider anything beneath him - jobs needed to get done.
He loved his job and made it a mental game to do things efficiently without wasted movement. Many times he said "these drivers counted on getting out of here to get their next load."
Robert took pride in a job well done and knew the crew he worked with was a great one.
Robert was an avid hunter and considered hunting season "my time of the year." I know he will be there in Spirit, scouting, hunting and cheering his friends on.
Robert touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
