Thank you all for the kind words and warm memories of mom.  They mean a lot to me and the rest of the family.

Thank you Mills and Mills for the great service.  Hopefully I won't use you again anytime soon....but will turn to you when the time comes.

I was a kid when Sharon had her stroke.  I remember just a few times seeing her at her house before it, but my fondest memories of her was just how sweet and graceful she was every time I saw her.  As I got older, I was increasingly impressed with her ability to communicate and express her personality.  She was always so kind, loving, and smiling! I saw her as an amazing role model for all of us to deal with our challenges in life.  She will be missed but I'm sure that she's looking down on of us with a big smile.

Sharon was my mom's (Dona Lou) best friend. They talked everyday until her stroke. I know she missed their talks, but Sharon was there to now listen. She was like an Aunt to me and such a wonderful person. When I'm in the yard and see my hummingbirds I often think of her. She is now with Shelley and they are TALKING and laughing and loving!! Love you Sharon and Shelley

Sharon was such a special person ~ she was my Joe Ness's very favorite Aunt; and when he was a youngster, actually helped Gramma Beth raise him. She played the part of a "big Sister" to him.  She was so talented, so kind, and an inspiration for us to relish each day of life even when faced with life-changing illness. Rest in Peace, dear Sharon. xoxo

The flowers that are coming to the house in mom's memory are amazing!  Sharon loved the beauty of flowers and found beauty in almost everything.

Sharon was an inspiration and Mom to me too just like she was to Booka.  I will miss her vibrant smile and that radiance of genuine love that she could project.  You could see it in her eyes and feel it from across the room.   She was a very special lady to me and I will miss her so.  I can hear her saying those two words, "I know" and she did know.  She knew so much more than she could say, but I always knew what she meant.  I remember her love of birds and what joy she got from watching the hummingbirds and finches feed from her bird feeders in Aberdeen.  Her face would light up when I came over to see Rich and I always enjoyed her hospitality and conversation.  Her home had a welcoming warmth that reflected her warm comforting personality.  Rest in peace Sharon, knowing you had a full life filled with caring and Love. We love you.

I can't help but to think of Sharon as kind of second Mother to me, such was her influence on me. Rich & I being as thick a thieves. Her talents were such a inspiration to me,  there was a beauty and sensitivity in them,the kind that only comes from within.  Yet, for me, it was her strength, wisdom, and patience that helped guide me through those often difficult early times, and onward through out the years. Although she could hardly speak these past 35 years, I remember her voice, as clear as if it were today, always concerned, and interested. When she spoke to you, you always knew it was coming from a knowing, loving place. She always had a simple, strong dignity, that I have always suspected was part of her pioneer Malinowski blood. That for all her sensitivity, she was also one tough woman, unafraid to stand her ground.Sharons love of nature was so strikingly genuine. I think that she got much of her strength and pleasure being surrounded by it. As if she understood every bird she ever fed, and tended. Still, most of all Sharon seemed to find her greatest joy in her children. You could just see it in those sparkling eyes, she was not just their mother and guide, she was also their friend. Such pure natures as hers are rare at any time, so to be so blessed to experience, and love this amazing and kind woman, I will always count as one of the greatest gifts I will ever be lucky enough to receive. God knows we will miss her, in front of us, but, I'm glad for her, to have her voice back again.

My sweet Aunt  Sharon . . . . I loved that sparkle  in your eyes, and your smile, love, and kindness throughout my lifetime .    You will always have a special place in my heart.

I grew up on Linkshire Dr across the street from Sharon and Rich.  My Dad, Bob, adored Sharon and always made sure she had fresh clams and fish every time he went out.  She was a wonderful woman and the best mother to her children...Her beautiful spirit lives on in a fabulous son.  She will be missed...

My brother Eric got the obituary into the Aberdeen Daily World and Montesano Vidette yesterday.  Pictures will be forth coming.

Daughter of Aberdeen's pioneer Joe and Elizabeth (Beth) Malinowski has passed away at her home in Olympia, Washington due to natural causes.

Sharon attended school in Aberdeen at Saint Mary's and Aberdeen High School.  Married Richard (Dick) Hovde in 1948 and bore three children; Eric Andre Hovde, Rachelle (Shelley) Marie Hovde, and Richard Paul Hovde.  Sharon divorced Dick in 1966 and remarried John Jull in 1968 and divorced again in 1975 and decided to live alone.

Sharon was an avid artist and in her younger years painted many signs for motels and businesses in the Grays Harbor area.  She loved nature and the great outdoors. Sharon suffered a major stroke in 1978 which greatly disabled her body but not her spirit.  She continued to live alone for the next 35 years (stubborn Pollack) and only relented to assistance from daughter Shelley and son Rich the last few years.

Preceded in death by sisters Fran White of Aberdeen and Karla Malinowski of Edmonds, her brother Joe Malinowski of Edmonds, and daughter Shelley McGeatchy of Olympia.  She is survived by sister Mildred Hamilton of Lakewood, son Eric Hovde of Elma, son Richard Hovde of Olympia, three grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and God only knows how many cousins, nieces, and nephews of the GREAT MALINOWSKI clan.
