Sharon Marie Kinder, resident of Olympia Washington, passed away on September 28th, 2024. She was born on May 13th, 1939 in Spokane, Washington to parents Merle Kinder and Anna Petersen and was an only child.
Sharon graduated from North Central High School and continued her education at Washington State University from where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Education in 1961. Following a brief career as an educator from 1961 to 1964, she moved on to the Idaho State Department of Health. In 1974 she became an independent real estate agent, and finally retired from the Washington State Dept. of licensing in 2005, as an investigator and licensing manager.
When not working, Sharon enjoyed many activities including reading, cooking, oil painting, volunteering and supporting her beloved WSU Cougars! She was also a member/officer of the Olympia Amateur Radio Society, The Danish Brotherhood/ Sisterhood, as well as the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepard.
With her keen sense of humor, a favorite response to her height of 6' 3", was that she was only 5' 15". She is survived by several cousins and other family members. Sharon will be greatly missed.
