Terry was born November 18, in Tooele, UT. On June 29, 1984 he married Rita Beitelspacher at St Anthony’s Catholic Church in Hoven, SD. They relocated to Olympia, WA the same year, where they have lived since. They raised 2 children, David (son) and Teres (daughter). Terry worked in the construction industry his entire career. He was a Steamfitter/Welder with UA Local 26. Before joining the union, Terry and Rita owned T & R Security where they built custom Metal Fences and installed security alarm systems. Terry also worked for Locating Inc., TCI Cable, Midco Cable, MT Systems. He retired as a steamfitter/welder in mid 2018.
Terry enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved to go hunting, fishing, crabbing, camping, quad riding and going for drives in the woods with his children (Rita stayed home). Terry was an avid hunter and fisherman. His love of hunting and fishing was passed on to his children. Terry looked forward to opening day of fishing with his children every year, this was one of the few days no one else was allowed to join. He always had a passion of figuring out how things worked, which gave him the ability to fix and build many things over the years. Terry passed many of his skills on.
Terry loved to go to Rita’s greenhouse and pick the fresh vegetables and walk around the yard to see what flowers were in bloom. He also enjoyed cooking, watching shows and movies and his animals (cats, dogs, chickens).
Terry was so happy to marry into such a wonderful and loving family. Eileen Beitelspacher, Garry Lebert(Mary Anne), Clara and Ken Eilering, Grace and Dave Van Well, Susan and Jim Sanders, and Janice and Rick Banghart, many wonderful nieces and nephews.
