Personal Sentiment
by Winifred Johanson
"Please don’t stand around and cry,
you see – I’m not afraid to die.
While on this earth, I’ve done my best,
and now it’s time for me to rest.
So just go on about your day,
whether it be work or play.
My life was long – and I was blessed,
with family, friends, and all the rest.
In life we all have our share of sorrow,
but just look for a bright tomorrow.
Soon your cares will fade away,
and see you through another day.
So please not too many tears,
for I have lived beyond my years.
While on this earth I did my best,
and now it’s time to join the rest."
