Agostinho Simas Bertao, age 86, of Turlock, California entered into rest at his home in Turlock, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, May 29, 2021. He was born March 29, 1935 in Raminho, Terceira , Açores to Celectinha Bertao and João da Rocha Bertao.
Agostinho is survived by his spouse, Rosa B. Bertao of 64 years and son Leo Bertao (Perla) of Turlock.
Agostinho was preceded in death by his father João da Rocha Bertao and mother Celectinha Bertao.
Agostinho Simas Bertao leaves behind three grandchildren; Paulo Bertao; Matthew Bertao and Nicholas Bertao, he also leaves behind 6 great-grandchildren; Martin Bertao; Paulo Bertao Jr.; Ella Bertao; Jack Bertao; Landon Bertao and Mila Bertao to honor his memory.
A Visitation for Agostinho will be held Friday, June 11, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 W. Main Street, Turlock, California. A Recitation of the Rosary will follow.
A Funeral Mass will occur at 11:30 AM on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Saint Anthonys Catholic Church, 7820 Fox Road, Hughson, California. A Committal Service will follow at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 North Soderquist Road, Turlock, California.
Serving as pallbearers are: Paulo Bertao, Matthew Bertao, Nicholas Bertao, Martin Bertao, Paulo Bertao Jr., Dimas Borba and Artur Farinha.
