Amelia Dutra Lemos, age 89, of Hilmar, California passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock, California. She was born April 11, 1932 in São Caetano, Pico, Açores to Maria Carolina Lopes and Manuel Pinheiro Dutra.
Amelia is survived by: her son Joe D. Lemos (Lucia) of Hilmar, her daughter Maria Urbina Cunha (Manuel) of Castelo Branco, Faial, Açores, and her sister Ermelinda Amaral of Faial, Açores.
Amelia was preceded in death by: her husband Manuel P. Lemos who passed in 1985, her father Manuel Pereira Dutra, and her mother Maria Carolina Lopes.
Amelia has five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews to honor her memory.
Amelia was a member of Clubo Portugues do Divino Espirito Santo of Hilmar, Raima Santa Isabel of Hilmar, Portuguese Fraternal Society of America (P.F.S.A.) of Hilmar, and Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hilmar, California.
A Visitation for Amelia will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, November 22, 2021 at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 W. Main Street, Turlock, California.
A Recitation of the Rosary followed by Funeral Mass will occur at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 8471 Cypress Street, Hilmar, California. A Committal Service will follow at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Road, Turlock, California.
Serving as pallbearers are: Christopher Lemos, Jennifer Lemos, DDS Jorge Duarte, Joe Pires, Joe Dias and Joe Perry.
