Heldera Maria Maciel

Heldera Maria Maciel, age 65, of Chowchilla, California passed away at her home on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. Heldera was born in Rosais, São Jorge to Maria Do Carmo Couto and João Jacinto Ribeiro.

Heldera is survived by her son Ruben Miguel Maciel of Chowchilla and her daughter Lilia Do Carmo Vega of Arizona, along with her brother João Do Couto Ribeiro (Boa Hora) of São Jorge and her sister Rosa Maria Santos (Jose) of Faial. Heldera also leaves behind her grandchildren Owen, Elijah and Priscilla Vega to honor her memory.

Heldera was preceded in death by her husband Miguel Silveira Maciel and her parents João Jacinto Ribeiro and Maria Do Carmo Couto.

A Visitation for Heldera will be held Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 West Main, Turlock, CA 95380.

Recitation of the Rosary and Funeral Mass will occur Friday, September 22, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 20263 American Avenue, Hilmar, California, 95324.

A Committal Service will follow at Chowchilla Cemetery DIstrict, 23359 Road 14 1/2 Chowchilla, CA, 93610.

Serving as pallbearers are Ruben Maciel, Owen Vega, Elijah Vega, Priscilla Vega, Roberto Vieira and Rodrigo Vieira.
