José is survived by: his wife of 50 years, Armanda F. Camara of Stevinson; daughter Edelta C. Camara (Glenn Blocher) of Stevinson; son Joe J. Camara of Stevinson; son Peter M. Camara (Rachel) of Stevinson; and grandchild Ashley Blocher of Stevinson.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Conceição Torres, and his parents, Maria da Glora Correia and Manuel B. Camara.
Mr. Camara was a dedicated parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Turlock, California.
A visitation for Mr. José C. Camara will be held from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service: 286 W. Main Street, Turlock, California. A recitation of the rosary followed by a funeral mass will begin at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 8, 2019 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church: 2602 S. Walnut Road, Turlock, California. He will be laid to rest following the service at N. Hilmar Cemetery District: 8710 N. Tegner Road, Hilmar, California.
Serving as pallbearers are Joe J. Camara, Peter M. Camara, Joseph Camara, Joe Camara, Antonio Camara, and José Marques.
