Lily Shahbaz, age 90 “Entered into Rest” on Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock, California. Mrs. Shahbaz was born in Hamadan, Iran and has lived in Turlock for 15 years. She was a Homemaker for 75 years and enjoyed playing the organ in church, teaching Sunday School and she was a Deacon for 20 years in Iran. Mrs. Shahbaz is survived by Her Son, Edward Spourghan and His Wife Linda of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; Two Brothers, Victor Shahbaz of Turlock and Walter Shahbaz and His Wife Katy of Los Alamitos, CA; Two Grandchildren and One Great Grandchild. Preceded in death by: Her Husband, Daniel Spourghan and Her Daughter, Helen Spourghan.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, 450 S. Palm, Turlock. Followed by Interment at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock.
