He was born in Villa of Madalena, Island of Pico, Azores, and passed away in Turlock. He was a line worker for
many years. He also was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, Turlock, and a member of P.F.S.A., Turlock.
He enjoyed gardening, make wine, and loved children.
Survivors: His wife of 49 years Adelaide J. Garcia of Hilmar, his Daughter-Nellie (Maria Manuela) Sutton and her husband Robert of Sacramento. His Brothers- Alfredo Garcia da Rosa of Lisbon, Portugal, Jose da Rosa and his wife Maria de Fatima of Hilmar, Fernando M. da Rosa and his wife Maria Ludevina of Hilmar.
2 Grandchildren-Robert Sutton, Jr. and Ashley Sutton both of Sacramento.
Visitation: 2PM-8PM, Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel, 286 W. Main St. Turlock, with a Rosary at 7PM.
Funeral Mass-10AM, Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 2602 S. Walnut Rd., Turlock.
Burial will be at North Hilmar District Cemetery.
