Valentim B. Mouro, age 84, of Hilmar, California passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019. He was born February 14, 1935 in Praia da Vitória, Terceira, Açores to Maria Borges da Silva and Mateus Machado Mouro.
Valentim is survived by: his wife, Rosalina de Couto Mouro of Hilmar; daughter Maria Valadão (John) of Hilmar; son Matthew Henry Mouro (Adelle) of Hilmar; sister Leonilde Menezes of Angra do Heroísmo, Terceira, Açores; grandchildren Nicole Aguiar, Matthew Mouro, Daniel Mouro, Marcus Mouro, Andrew Valadão, Christopher Valadão; and great-grandchildren Gavin Aguiar, Hayden Aguiar, Jameson Aguiar, and Molly Mouro. Mr. Mouro also leaves many nieces and nephews to honor his memory.
He was preceded in death by his sister Maria Laura Dinis Lima as well as his parents, Maria Borges da Silva and Mateus Machado Mouro.
Valentim was a dedicated parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and a member of Casa dos Açores in Hilmar, California.
A visitation for Mr. Valentim B. Mouro will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service: 286 W. Main Street, Turlock, California. A recitation of the rosary followed by a funeral mass will occur at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 3, 2019at Holy Rosary Catholic Church: 8471 Cypress Street, Hilmar, California. He will be laid to rest after the service at N. Hilmar Cemetery District: 8710 N. Tegner Road, Hilmar, California.
Serving as pallbearers are Matthew Mouro Jr., Roger Aguiar, Daniel Mouro, Marcus Mouro, Andrew Valadão, and Christopher Valadão.
