Anna H Chandler

TUSCALOOSA – Anna Mae "Ann" Chandler, age 94, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., died August 18, 2018, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2018, in Memory Hill Gardens with Rev. Terry Lolley and Joe Chandler officiating and Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernie and Ivory Hamby; husband, Garland M. Chandler, Sr.; and brothers, Lee Hamby, Barney Hamby, Harry Hamby and Lester Hamby.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Martin (Robert) of Tuscaloosa; sons, Mack Chandler (Julie) of Atlanta, Ga. and Joe Chandler (Mary Alice) of Tuscaloosa; grandchildren, Xan Hartley (David), Jodi Williams, Robin Walters (David) and Audrey Poe (Wade); great-grandchildren, Chandler Hartley, Charleston Hartley, Mary Michelle Williams, Preston Williams, Erin, Erica, Jonica; and great-great-grandchildren, Tommie and Adaline.

Jesus' prayer: "Father, not my will but thy will be done" was also mama's prayer and the foundation on which her life was built. She was totally committed to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Next was her commitment to daddy and to us. Then her commitment to the church in that order and all who knew her understood that. We children have truly benefited from the three gifts mentioned above as well as all the gifts God gave our Mom and Dad! If you would like to hear more just ask. It would make our day to be able to share with you.
