Carl Roy Burnett

Carl Roy Burnett, age 62, of Tuscaloosa, died May 13, 2010, at the VA Medical Center Hospice. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathan Ivy officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Wilburn Dub Stewart; his brother, Donald Burnett; and his grandparents, Dolph and Jessie Snipes.

Survivors include his mother, Lenora S. Stewart; his daughter, Crystal Gale Burnett of Brent; his son, Christopher Burnett (Laura) of Coker; his sisters, Barbara Walker (Gary) of Coker and Jane Rhodes (Jim) of Prattville; his brothers, Bill Burnett (Linda) of Tuscaloosa and Jerry Burnett (LaJune) of Northport; and his grandchildren, Michael and Summer Burnett and Austin Woods, all of Coker.

Pallbearers will be Matt Ray, Shad Burnett, Shannon Burnett, Johnny Burnett, Alvin Hoggle, and Billy Vaught.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Robinson and the medical staff at East Wing Veterans Hospice, and to family and friends for all the prayers and support.
