Carol Ann Widner Taylor

TUSCALOOSA - Carol Ann Widner Taylor, age 68, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., passed away February 25, 2018 at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Kerry A. Rainey officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Milton Widner and Annie Ruth Kidd Widner. Survivors include her husband, Douglas R. Taylor; daughters, Lisa Taylor Parker and Susan Taylor Willhoite; sister, Terri Widner Rainey; and grandchildren, Christopher Ross Parker, Casey Ryan Parker and Madison Taylor Lambert. Mrs. Taylor graduated from the Tuscaloosa High School Class of 1967. She was married 50 years to her high school sweetheart. She enjoyed making all things creative and gift-giving. She was a member of Circlewood Baptist Church. She loved her frequent girls' nights out with her THS Class of '67 group. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. Pallbearers will be Andy Rainey, Mike Sexton, Robert Williams, Jerry Hewitt, Christopher Parker and Casey Parker. Honorary pallbearers will be Alacare, Hospice of West Alabama and Cancer Treatment Center of America. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of West Alabama.
