Connie was preceded in death by her father, Olin G. Pate. She leaves behind her beloved mother, Ann Pate; her brother, James Pate; her two sons, Christopher Sullivan and Bradley Sullivan; and her cherished grandsons, Elijah and Josiah Sullivan, who brought her immense joy.
A proud graduate of Holt High School in 1972, Connie went on to earn her nursing degree from the University of Alabama in 1990, a testament to her determination and caring spirit. Her career as a nurse reflected her deep compassion for others, a quality that shone brightly in all she did.
Connie’s heart belonged to the outdoors—she found solace and wonder in gardening and nurturing the beauty of nature. Over the years, her home was filled with the love of many pets. Above all, Connie’s faith in the Lord Jesus guided her life. She faced her final days with unwavering confidence in His promise of redemption, asking her family not to mourn but to rejoice in her homecoming.
A celebration of Connie’s life will be held at Dunn's Creek Baptist Church on Tuesday March 4th at 2:30pm. Connie’s legacy lives on in the blooms she tended, the lives she touched, and the faith she shared.
