TUSCALOOSA – Douglas Wayne Morris, age 64, passed away September 15, 2022 at UAB Hospital. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2022 in Memory Hill Gardens with his nephew, Pastor Josh Howell, officiating and Memory Chapel Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his parents, David and Bessie Morris.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Susan Ward Morris; daughters, Sara Anne Morris Collins (Wood Thompson Collins) and Julie Kate Morris; sisters, Brenda McPherson (Bobby) and Betty Ann Moore (Gene); grandchild, Thompson Anne Collins; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the UAB Center for Palliative and Supportive Care or the American Cancer Society.
