Eleanor A. Martin

Eleanor Ambrose Martin, age 82, of Tuscaloosa, died Dec. 2, 2010, at Forest Manor Nursing Home. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Dr. Donald Payne and Rev. Jim Headly officiating and Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Martin; and parents, T.C. “Tip” and Lela Ambrose.

Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Martin of Tuscaloosa; a son, Terry Martin (Carol) of Pineville, La.; a grandson, Brian Martin of Winter Park, Fla.; and a great-granddaughter, Kellyanne Martin of Grenada, Miss.

Mrs. Martin worked at First National Bank and AmSouth Bank for many years. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and Forest Lake Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Brian Martin, Charlie Watts, Ryan Watts, Roy Lamon, Eddie Lary, and Mike Lovejoy.

Honorary pallbearers are staff of Amedyisis Hospice, staff of Forest Manor Nursing Home, residents and staff of Regency Retirement Village, and caregivers Onie Harrell, Debra Gregory, Terri Terry May and Sue Wicker.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Forest Lake Baptist Church, Ridgecrest Baptist Men's Mission Team, Amedysis Hospice, or a charity of one's choice.
