COTTONDALE | Emogene Sims Rushing, age 85, of Cottondale, died November 24, 2015, at Heritage Healthcare and Rehab. Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, November 27, 2015, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Sims and Lille Bell Sims and grandchild, Tammy Allen.
Survivors include her husband, Harry Rushing; daughter, Shirley Pierce; son, Roger Rushing; sister, Qupie Watkins; grandchildren, Jennifer Jennings, Shane Wallace, Tracy Messer and Dan Wallace; and many great-grandchildren.
Emogene was a member of Cottondale Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and her family.
