Eva R Watkins

Eva Rebecca Watkins, age 93, of Northport, died Jan. 19, 2011, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Minor J. Watkins, her brothers and sisters, Willard Woods, Charles Woods, Lewis Woods, Emmett Woods, Rose Woods, and Harvey Woods.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Toole (Jerry); son, Joseph Watkins (Sherry); sister, Elizabeth Turner (Roy); grandchildren, Jerry D. Toole, Jr., Sandra Klicker, Leslie Ignatz, David B. Toole, Mary B. Cummings, Melissa Ramsey, Melinda Edwards, and Tracey Watkins; 11 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Eva was a loving and caring mother who enjoyed her friends, family and church. Nothing pleased her more than having her family around her. She lived for her children and their happiness. We will cherish the time she was with us on earth and take comfort that she is with our Lord. We love you Mama Eva.

Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Stephen Brown, Lloyd Noland Hospital staff in Tuscaloosa, and Rickey Klicker, a close friend of the family, whose support is greatly appreciated.
