A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, February 4, at 3:00 p.m., at Capstone Church with Jeremy Burrage officiating, and Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, A Dignity Memorial Provider directing. Visitation will be at the church from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL at a later date.
He is preceded in death by parents, Algie & Mattie Langford; his sister, Shirley Young; his infant son, Heath Steven Langford; and his twin grandbabies, Brandon David & Jordan Bailey Langford.
Survivors include his wife Dianne Langford, Tuscaloosa; sons Joseph Brandon Langford (Jennifer) and Gary Steven Langford, Jr. (Becca); sisters, Dorothy Calderwood and Linda Burkes; brother, Buddy Langford; grandchildren, Emma Langford, Gary Steven Langford III (Trace), Reagan Langford, Lilly Langford and Caden Langford.
Big Steve was married to his loving wife, Dianne, for 52 years. They were blessed with three children, two daughters-in-law, and seven precious grandchildren. He had a servant’s heart, making a career in the Army National Guard and working as a public servant with the Tuscaloosa City Fire Department for 35 years. He loved the Lord with all his heart, and he loved his family fiercely. Anyone who was blessed to come in contact with Big Steve was better for it. He will be truly missed.
Pallbearers are Buddy Langford, Chip Burkes, Trace Langford, Caden Langford, Jack Pow, Clyde Burroughs, Mike Comer, and Waylon Mullis.
