Glenn Hewitt, age 59, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama passed away on October 5, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 11 am at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Buster and Effie Hewitt; Brothers, Willie Jack Hewitt and James Hewitt; Sister, Bernice Freeman; granddaughter, Charlie O’Quinn.
Beloved father, brother, grandfather and friend.
He is survived by his children, Stephanie Hewitt, Justin Hewitt and Sarah Hewitt; sisters, Sharon Dean, Janie Meaney, and Peggy Altman; brothers, Tommy Hewitt, Billy Hewitt, Robert “RT” Hewitt and Mark Hewitt; grandchildren, Eli Hewitt, Oliver O’Quinn and Lana O’Quinn.
Glenn worked for Spiller Furniture for 25 years. He loved trips to the beach, his family and friends, music, and telling jokes.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Hicks, Derek O’Quinn, Justin Hewitt, Tommy Hewitt, Chris Roycroft and Terry Simpson.
Honorary pallbearer are Sebastian Back and Willis Howard Jr.
