COKER – Gunter Cliff St. John, age 85, passed away December 30, 2022 at his home. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Mr. St. John was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Jean St. John.
He is survived by his children, Perry St. John, Donna St. John, and Diane Bullard (Doug); brother, Ellis “Junior” St. John (Debbie); grandchildren, Lydia Jean Burroughs (Lee), Zackery James Sutton (Amy), Megan Sara Bush (Nate), Alexandria Taylor Patterson (Dillon), Catherine Kirkland (Ron), and Elizabeth Thomas (Tyler); great-grandchildren, JR Reach, Andi Reach, Gage Kirkland, and Lillian Kirkland; and other family and lifelong friends.
Pallbearers will be Lee Burroughs, JR Reach,Tyler Thomas, Tommy Jones, Amos Jones, and Aaron Applebee.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ellis (Junior) St. John, Danny Rasberry, Johnny Ford Stephens, Harold Lewis, Tom Albatar, Steve Highsaw, and Kenny Mackline.
Friends and family are invited to wear their favorite Roll Tide Alabama attire in memory of Mr. St. John.
