My favorite memories of Uncle Bill are being fascinated with his tatoo when I was younger,his amazingly delicious recipe for doves in brown gravy,(mouth watering recalling it),and he taught me how to root an avocado from seed. On a very personal note, he believed in my husband,Mickey Atkinson,and hired him to work at the mines. This came as a very welcome relief to our financial struggles as a young family. Will be forever grateful for his kind gesture! Came to know him and love him even more,if that is possible. Rest in peace Uncle Bill

Amy, I'm so sorry for the loss of your Daddy. There was nothing so heartbreaking in my lifetime as losing  my own Dad. The Daddy/Daughter relationship is unique and very strong, so the hurt is also very strong. I'm thinking about you with tears in my eyes knowing how you are feeling at this time.   The love you felt for your Daddy when he was living will still grow, and in time your sweet memories will bring smiles and laughter.  Remember he's just wiaiting until you all can be together once more.  Much love to you and your sweet girls.

Every child should be so fortunate to have a dad as great as our Daddy! Our joy was his! I never grew up as long as I was around Daddy. I was his "Sissy" and always shall be. A great deal of what I perceive the goodness of God to be is the behavior I observed in my Daddy. Rest easy now, Daddy, because we're going to be fine. Your love knows no boundaries and I feel you with me now and always.

Mr. Jim cut my hair from the mid 1960's until I moved away from Brookwood in 05.  My thoughts and prayers to his family, especially to "Ricky" whom I knew throughout our HS days in Brookwood.

Mr.Jim gave my Joey his first haircut and every haircut after that until he retired.  I have known him all my life and have many fond memories of his family and especially his precious Mother.  He was a good man and a good friend.  My prayers are with his family.  RIP Mr. Jim, we will always love you.
