Jeffery Wayne Lancaster

Jeffery Wayne "Pops" Lancaster, age 62, died February 17, 2018, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at Memory Chapel with Pastor Ken Andrews and Pastor Tony Mahathy officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to his celebration. Survivors include his wife, Darlene Lancaster; sons, Jeremy Everett (Beth) and Scott Lancaster; sister, Sheila Borders; brothers, Donald Lancaster and Gordon Lancaster; mother, Pauline Lancaster; grandchildren, Brayden, Blake, Brantley and Blaze; and special nieces, Heather and Zoey. Jeffery was a loving husband, dad, Paw-Paw, brother, son, uncle and friend. He never met a stranger. He loved God, his church and church family. We love you Jeffery and we are not saying goodbye, but see you later. Pallbearers will be Don Hickman, Perry Hickman, Ron Acker, Terry Cook, Ralph Shultz and Tommy Clanton. Honorary pallbearers will be Landscaping and Grounds Dept. at the University of Alabama, Dr. John Crew, Dr. John Dubay, Hospice of West Alabama, Alacare Home Care and Hospice, Lifepointe Church of God and friends from Real Hope. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of West Alabama and Children's Hospital of Alabama.
