Jimmy Kenneth Farmer, age 89, of Eutaw, AL passed away January 16, 2021. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Jimmy was born on July 13, 1931 to Fred and Mary Farmer of Piedmont, AL. Jimmy and Ruby, his beloved wife of 70 years, spent most of their lives in Eutaw, AL. Jimmy was a retired Staff Sergeant of the United States Army as well as a combat vet. He and Ruby owned the Dairy Queen in Eutaw, as well as several other businesses. Jimmy was also a police officer and dispatcher for the Eutaw Police Department. Jimmy was a kind, caring, and very respected man by all who knew him. He and Ruby opened their home and heart to many over the years and would never turn anyone away who needed them. They both were devoted Christians and members of Victorious Life Church, Fosters, AL. Jimmy is preceded in death by Fred J. Farmer (father), Mary A. Farmer (mother), Jo Green (sister), Ed Wood (brother), Fred Farmer Jr. (brother), and Linda Thomas (sister). He is survived by Ruby Jewel Watts Farmer (beloved wife), Sheila (Randy) Goodwin (daughter), Susan Renee Farmer (daughter), Martha York (sister), Jason (Julie) Ramsey (grandson), Brandon (Robin) McCrory (grandson), Jamie Greene (granddaughter), Tessa Spencer (granddaughter), and 3 great grands. Jaden Smith, Gracie Smith, Evan McCrory. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Victorious Life Church Fosters, AL or the Greene County Ambulance Service Eutaw, AL.
