John "Grady" Hall Jr., 06/22/1945 - 09/21/1945. It is with deep sorrow that we announce Grady's passing. He was a loving husband, strong father, silly Grandaddy, the one-and-only brother, and a good friend.
John was preceded in death by his parents, John Grady Hall Sr. and Maurice Davis-Hall.
He was the beloved husband of Catherine D. Hall. John was a devoted father to Renee Brown, Karen Fatizzi (Peter), and Johnna Brown (Clyde). His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Hannah Allen, Cameron Fatizzi, and Colson Brown. He is also survived by his sisters, Alice (late Wilson) Washburn, Alene Branch (Sam), Bobbie Jean Hull (Norman), and Linda (late Siegfried) Kupferschmid.
Born on June 22nd, 1945 in Mobile, AL, Grady was the son of John Grady Hall Sr. and Maurice. He grew up in Demopolis AL. Grady graduated from Uniontown High School, there he met his wife Catherine Dunklin Hall. Grady started his career as a butcher at Winn-Dixie later on he went to work at Gulf States Paper Company, where he retired after 30 years. Catherine and Grady were blessed with three daughters and then three beautiful grandchildren.
Grady will be remembered by those who love him as the greatest fisherman, biggest Bama fan, a hard worker, grillmaster, jokster, and as someone who is always smiling and always enjoying life to the fullest! He had a love of music and a devotion to provide for his family. He especially cherished his role as a grandaddy.
We would like to extend our thanks to Demopolis Fire and Rescue, the fifth floor nurses at DCH, and all the devoted staff at Hospice of West Alabama.
A celebration of life will take place for Grady at a later date.
